We’re celebrating the continued generosity of our long-standing partners at Renfrewshire Sports Charity, who have once again stepped up in support of ACCORD Hospice with an incredible donation of £37,000.
This remarkable gift brings their total contributions to nearly £100,000 since our partnership began in 2016/17 – a testament to the power of community and a shared belief in compassionate care.
The donation comes through Renfrewshire Sports Charity’s unique model, where membership fees from their Paisley-based gym, Pro-Life Fitness Centre, are reinvested back into both the gym and vital local causes – including ACCORD and St Vincent’s Hospices.
This latest donation will help fund hundreds of hours of expert care, emotional support, and practical help for individuals and families facing life-limiting illness in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire.
Jacki Smart, CEO of ACCORD Hospice, shared her gratitude:
“We are truly humbled by the generosity shown by the Pro-Life team and every single member who made this possible.
£37,000 is a substantial gift that will help us deliver care where it’s needed most – from beds and nursing care in our Inpatient Unit, to complementary therapies and support in people’s own homes.
We cannot thank Robert McEwan enough for his continued personal passion and commitment to ACCORD, as well as the incredible team at Pro-Life and their members whose loyalty makes this all possible.”
Robert McEwan, Head of Operations at Pro-Life, said:
“Supporting local hospices like ACCORD is something we’ve always felt passionate about at Pro-Life. We’re proud that our model allows us to give back in such a meaningful way.
I want to thank our members — their loyalty and generosity are what make this support possible every year.”
