Could you help ACCORD Pay for a Day?

It costs almost £9,000* every single day to run our services, providing the best of end-of-life care for patients and their families.

The cost above includes our inpatient suites, extensive community care, a wide variety of therapy services and medical supplies - not to mention, an incredible team of medical and support staff who run and maintain ACCORD 24/7.

With more than 1,800 local families using our services every year, you can help maintain essential care in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire by Paying for a Day.

How can Individuals and Families get Involved?

If you’re looking for a memorable way to mark a special occasion or donate in memory of a friend or relative, contact fundraising@accord.org.uk  We’ll ensure the date is marked how you would wish and ensure confidentiality if that is your preference.

Fundraising Project for Schools

Schools can make a huge difference by joining together to Pay for a Day. Whether it’s a non-uniform day, bake sale, sponsored walk, or a year-long house challenge, every pound raised helps fund vital care for people in your community. We can provide age-appropriate resources and visit your school to talk to pupils about the importance of your fundraising. It’s a fantastic way for young people to learn about compassion, teamwork, and the impact of giving on end-of-life care.

Corporate Support to Pay for a Day

Businesses large and small can make a powerful impact by sponsoring a day of care. Pay for a Day is a meaningful way to give back to the local community, mark a company milestone, or honour colleagues.

We’ll work with your timescales to recognise your company’s support, ensuring opportunities for local PR and social media. An optional tour of ACCORD Hospice can also be arranged for your company representatives.

Set up a meeting today by contacting fundraising@accord.org.uk . Diaries permitting, we’d be delighted for you to join us for a coffee, either in our lounge or beautiful gardens. We’ll help you develop your plan and be on hand for any questions before you share final details with your team.

Recognising your support

We’ll recognise every supporter in a way that suits them, but this might include:

  • Sharing your story on our website and socials (with your permission).
  • Displaying your name and organisation (if relevant) in our reception area on your chosen day.
  • Inviting you to the hospice to celebrate your day.
  • Creating a personalised certificate for you to keep.
  • Providing a framed photograph to remember the day and a digital copy for use on your own socials. Your support will be shared on our website and remembered permanently in our Roll of Honour, which is kept at the hospice and will soon feature on our website.
