Services at ACCORD

Patient & Family Support

This service offers support to patients and families throughout their journey of living and dealing with a life limiting illness.  Our two trained Counsellors and support volunteers deliver bereavement care to adults and young people before and after death.

Aims of the Service

We offer additional emotional, psychological and practical support by offering one to one counselling sessions. The service provides the opportunity to join relevant groups where a safe environment can facilitate peer support and understanding.

What You Can Expect

You can expect to be treated with respect and understanding which comes from a non-judgmental and supportive perspective. The service will support each person as an individual, listening and acknowledging their needs.
