The service is managed by a Specialist Nurse and Senior Physiotherapist.
The service focuses on ‘Secondary Lymphoedema’ which can develop in people who previously had a normal lymphatic drainage system – this is the body’s drainage system to get rid of excess fluid. Lymphoedema is an abnormal collection of fluid just under the skin usually caused by the effects of cancer, radiotherapy or infection.
