Services at ACCORD

Patient & Family Support

The Patient and Family Support Service is provided by qualified counsellors and a  team of trained bereavement support workers.

Aims of the Service

The Patient and Family Support Service offers one to one emotional support and practical advice to patients, families and friends. We aim to give a safe, confidential space to share thoughts, feelings and allow clients to speak freely.

What You Can Expect

You will be offered six sessions initially, if more or less are needed this will be agreed by you and the team member. We may not have answers to all of the challenges that you face, however we do have a good knowledge and understanding of the effects of illness and grief and therefore are able to take the time to explore ways to support you.
