In Patient Unit
In-Patient care is delivered within an eight bedded unit, with care facilitated by a full multi-professional team. The In-Patient Unit is led by Consultants in Palliative Medicine, Dr David Gray, Dr Máire O'Riordan and Dr John Walley who work closely with highly trained nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, assessing and planning care for each patient to meet individual needs.
Admissions are for symptom control, assessment, rehabilitation and end of life care.
A leaflet containing more information about the In-Patient Unit can be downloaded.
"Dr Gray and Dr O'Riordan were so capable and took time to
explain all that was happening; Dr Walley was a support and
so honest and realistic. Each and every one of the nursing
staff is a credit to the Hospice."
