Schools

We have a range of different activities, events, talks, and interactive projects which can be tailor made to suit any age group.
As part of our 30th birthday celebrations, during 2012 over 3000 local primary schoolchildren will be entering into a competition to design gift cards for ACCORD. We will be planning an exhibition of entries when the winners will be announced. This is scheduled to take place in the spring.

As a signatory to Renfrewshire Council’s Determined To Succeed project we are interested in developing links with all local schools in reciprocal arrangements and we would be keen to become involved in some way of work related projects.
If you would like to discuss any ideas or possibilities for your school please contact us.

Companies

Give as you Earn (G.A.Y.E)
In the last Financial year we received oveer £9000.00 through Give as you Earn Scheme. G.A.Y.E enables employees to donate to the Hospice every month directly from their salary. For every £1 that is donated it will actually only cost you 80p as the Inland Revenue add the tax that you would have paid.
You can donate as much or as little as you want either every week or every month. All you have to do is print out the G.A.Y.E. form, complete and hand to your payroll administrators. If you have any questions, or if your company does not operate a G.A.Y.E. scheme, please contact the Fundraising Department who will be happy to help

Organise your own Event
In order to raise the funds required to provide our on-going specialist care, ACCORD is heavily reliant upon the goodwill of the community. One very effective method for our supporters to provide this support is to organise your own event. There are many different types of events that you could consider.  Check out our A - Z list for ideas.  You may well have other ideas of your own. Contact the Fundraising Department.

If you are planning an event on our behalf we would greatly appreciate you letting us know. Perhaps we may be able to support you with your planning and /or be able to offer you some assistance with various aspects such as ticket production, marketing and advice on best practice.

Churches & Community Groups

Many Churches and Community groups donate to the Hospice through a variety of ways such as coffee mornings, participating in our Summer and Christmas appeal by selling our emblems, participating in our Giant Christmas Card appeal, coffee mornings, afternoon teas and many more. If you are part of a community group or attend church, perhaps you would like to encourage everyone to get together and raise some funds for us.
Please view our ways to donate page for some ideas of how you can help or e-mail our Fundraising team for help.
